It forms a free radical, initiates polymerization of the prepolymer, cross-links grafting reaction, and solidifies into a three-dimensional network polymer in a short time to form a cured film. In this process, the intensity of the ultraviolet light determines the stability of the chemical composition in the UV ink, and therefore, the UV ink needs to be transported in the dark, normal or low temperature environment.

In short: the drying principle of ordinary ink is oxidation, infiltration, solvent evaporation in the ink. These several processes take a long time, and it takes about 20 hours to dry with the 90% plain offset printing ink. The UV ink is a UV-curable solvent-free ink. The principle of drying is the same as that of UV varnish. The photosensitive material receives ultraviolet photons to initiate polymerization photochemical reaction of the prepolymer and the diluent. The reaction time is very short, about 0.1-0.2 S, and a cured ink film layer is formed after the reaction. No volatile or permeable substances during the reaction. It is characterized by quick drying, good gloss and friction resistance, but the price is relatively high.
